Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all staff and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the seamless functioning of our operations. Must have a positive attitude and work well with others. This position is a float position for 5 HUD properties in Mansfield, 5 properties in Mt GIlead, and 1 in Cardington. Mileage reimbursement is offered for travel between properties. Must have access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
Duties
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, electrical panels, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Repair or replace appliances and mechanical components such as motors, pumps, valves, belts, filters, and thermostats.
Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing technical support and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and serviced
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, equipment repair, and general maintenance.
Proficiency reading schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of construction practices related to facility maintenance projects.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using multimeters and diagnostic tools effectively.
Leadership qualities with the ability to guide team members during maintenance tasks or emergency repairs.
