Understand how to mix base coat clear coat and single stage industrial coating paints. Spray coat large surfaces with above coatings with a high quality finish. Experience in maintaining equipment and working in a fast pace environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Mix and spray industrial type/automotive type paints
-Spray coat truck bodies and other parts
-Safety and housekeeping
-Other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Supervisor
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-High School diploma, or equivalent, is preferred
-Paint school or paint tech program certificate preferred.
-General safety and PPE
-Understand basic divisible math, ½, 2/3rds, etc. for mixing paint.
-Regularly required to stand (8 hours), bend (8 hours) and move about the facility
-Regularly required to lift up to 35 pounds (8 to 12 times a day)
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
-Required to use Safety Glasses and wear Safety Shoes
-Company provided coveralls and paint respiratory equipment.
-Plant environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes
-Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable
-Excessive heat in the summer time
-Dressed in coveralls, and paint retardant type clothing.
